The Scottish Play
I write that title that way because even over the internet I will be superstitious. At least in the title. This summer I was lucky enough to play Banquo in a production of Macbeth. I was so happy to make my professional debut with my favorite play of all time. Doing Shakespeare in the park was a bit of an eye-opening experience as a performer for many reasons. Watching a production be put up and torn down in one night gives a performer a greater appreciation for all the elements required to put up a show. Additionally, putting up a show without the support of a consistent space really makes an actor appreciate the comforts of a theatre. It was an amazing experience across the board. Not only was the show satisfying to put on but it was an amazing learning experience.
